An international oil and gas company is currently having vacancies for Indonesia Nationals in its Jakarta office.



DEVELOPMENT GEOLOGIST

The job:

� Development geologist within a multidisciplinary subsurface team in support of the Field development and surrounding exploitation opportunities. On a day to day basis the geologist will work closely with the lead geologist but report to the Reservoir Engineering Manager

� Maintain a detailed field description, incorporating new data and proposing new studies as required.

� Play a central role in the reservoir modelling process, translating the geological description to a reservoir simulation model.

� Play a role in identifying production well locations and in the preparation of well, proposal documents.

� Liase with Joint Venture partners and BPMigas on a regular basis.



The qualifications:

� Educated to degree level in Geology or closely related subject.

� Strong geoscience skills with a background in carbonate geology being advantageous

� Experienced user of industry standard mapping and interpretation software, preferably Geoquest.

� Experience with 3D modelling software is advantageous

� Excellent communication and presentation skills

� Experience in dealing with industry regulators (BPMigas) and partners

� Fluent in spoken and written English



OPERATIONS GEOLOGIST

The job:

� Operations geologist within a multidisciplinary subsurface team in support of the Field development and surrounding exploitation opportunities. On a day to day basis the geologist will work closely with the lead geologist but report to the Reservoir Engineering Manager.

� Play a central role in the detailed planning and geological operations of exploration, appraisal and development wells to include

- preparing detailed well proposal documents,

- working with the industry regulator (BPMigas) to gain all necessary approvals,

- Carry out geological well activities (communications, QC, reporting etc) on a day-to day basis during drilling operations,

- Verifying data acquisition programmes and processing costs.

� Play a role in post well evaluation programmes including

- Preparation and QC of 3rd party studies,

- compiling final well reports

� Liase with BPMigas to ensure smooth communication and approval of work programmes

� Take an active part in maintaining the field descriptions and incorporating new data into the subsurface model.

� Update and Maintain PSC well database



The qualifications:

� Educated to degree level in Geology or closely related subject

� Background in drilling operations with experience in preparing well proposals and covering day to day geological operations activity

� Experience in dealing with industry regulators (BPMigas) and partners

� Experienced in the use of industry standard interpretation software, preferably Geoquest.

� Excellent communication and presentation skills

� Fluent in spoken and written English
