I'll try this.  I'm using the (still somewhat experimental) nnmaildir
backend and I've found some standard Gnus things don't work with it
yet.

Yeah, when I used mutt this worked great.  I'm only on Gnus 5.8.8 and
it doesn't support those fields.  I think Paul starting working on
them (and getting them in CVS) sometime during Oort development.

My life seems like an endless cycle of upgrading... <grin>
