so, theories on how one should format the confirm_request message so
that mail clients will properly see 8 bit characters?  this is because
i have a euro sign (�) in my confirm message.

i suspect it's because i need:

    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-15
    Content-Disposition: inline
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

in my mail headers.  can i just add them below the From: and Subject:
headers in that file?
