I had similar problems, and found that I got better results when using the
following instead:
# .forward
| /usr/bin/tmda-filter
# Add to your .tmda/config file
DELIVERY = "|procmail -f $SENDER"
Like you, I could not get it to work the other way around. This way works
fine, though.
