It's best to use the MTA itself for anti-virus checking,
namely before the email gets to your .forward 

You've made a good choice using Postfix, as it works very
nicely with CLAMAV (yet another good choice -- open souce
anti-virus). 

Thus, in your main.cf you can it up and you'll need to 
do the further config/update stuff for Clam.
