Maybe check if there's a way around FROM checking. For example, my ISP allows me to use SMTP AUTH to authenticate, then doesn't care to whom or from what I send any email.


To use SMTP AUTH for outgoing email with qmail, you need a patch. I found a good one at... I can't remember where. But I still have it around if you'd like it. It seems to work well.

I suppose you could force TMDA to send its email From your regular verizon address, and make your confirm message very clear that the person must send an email to the address listed in your email to release their message. That's ugly, but it could work. Maybe it could be done such that it only does that for email to other verizon customers? I don't know exactly how to do this, though.
