But this is a one-timer thing, since most users just can store their auth info in their MUA. And if there's no sendmail interface of the used MUAs, you'll propably need this, anyway. > b) maintain their own TMDA configuration on the server? > well, there must be a spearate configs for each user, but I guess you could "maintain" those for them. If all you want is to date-tag envelope messeages and check them, all you need is to put something like this to the outgoing filter: to [EMAIL PROTECTED] tag envelope dated=10d from bare and set ACTION_FAIL_DATED to "drop", so mail to illegit dated adressess get dropped, and ACTION_INCOMING to "ok", so everything else gets in. However this means all things but those coming to a bad [EMAIL PROTECTED] will get trough, but is this what you want, right? So you coud just write all these configs, and copy or link those to ~ dirs. > Thanks, > - Mark > As an alternative, you might try to set your MTA to pipe all outgoing messages trough tmda-inject. I found a FAQ entry[1] that explains how to do this with exim, but I think you could make it in other MTAs.
