Thanks Stephen... that fixed it.  I took a closer look at ofmipd and saw
that it was bound to the IP address of hme0 on port 8025 and that
stunnel was trying to connect on 127.0.0.1:8025

So I just changed the ofmipd startup script and added -p 127.0.0.1:8025
and all works fine.  I could have looked at that for weeks without
seeing it.  Thanks again.
