Can't you setup NIS as a data source in /etc/nsswitch.conf - that way, NIS users will look like regular local Unix users to all applications that use the C library routines for retrieving user information. Certainly, that's the way I have things setup for my LDAP-based user information, and it seems to work well. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFWWE0hk3bo0lNTrURAmMxAKDu1kLNEeMUTlmjlFKkyq+2sKrbNQCeNDxC +ga8OC/CJX950Kg9KwOKgvw= =gx61 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list (tmda-users@tmda.net) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
