Gunny, I have been on Lyrica for nearly a year now. Without it I wouldn't be able to function. I tried Neurotin, and the whole gang of other pain medicines. Lyrica was the only thing that worked for me. I don't understand why your doctor would not prescribe it for you. The pain that we have is considered neuropathy. I take 400 mg, twice a day. This is a pretty high dose, but it works for me. Good luck with your grievance.
