Well, I do work and do get tested, it is no worse than someone taking morphine, which shows up as an opiate, like heroine, so yes, it is legal and if you get discriminated against for it, they are the ones in trouble not you. I don't need either at this time, 10 years into this, I can deal just fine with no meds at all, but when I needed it, it was there and 100% legal, that is just how it is.
I do believe that eating correctly for your body and exercise helps me enough to continue on with my life at a pace that works for me and my loved ones. I hope this helps you in some way.
