Hi Barney. I checked out the site & as you say, the stockings are so much
cheaper. Don't mean to sound negative but the prescription I got from the
neuro sets out the tightness, gauge & length I need. The medical supply store
where I bought them have trained people who fit you according to the
prescription. I'm not sure how good I'd be ordering on my own.
BTW, after 3 days of wearing them, I can see the veins on the top of my left
foot. Haven't seen them in years. They're working !!
Diane

Hi Diane - you might want to try Dr. Leonard's (drleonards.com) that's where
I get mine for about 9 dollars per pair. I have to wear them for ankle swelling
- they work, but are very hard to get on & off.

Just bought my first pair of compression stockings and it was $ 95.
The dr wrote me a prescription for them because the pressure sores on my
ankles won't heal because my feet are always swollen. Apparently, the water
prevents blood from properly circulating to those areas & healing is greatly
slowed down.

I just can't believe the amount of money I have to spend that is not covered
by the Province or by our private insurane - cushions, memory foam for the bed,
bandages, incontinence pads (just in case) and on and so on. They do cover my
catheters - whoopie !
