From what I have learned, it should be taken in conjunction with Chondroitin and MSM to help the body absorb the better parts of it.  I also have a gel that comes in a tube that I rub onto my knees and other "achy" areas so it doesn't even go into the bloodstream, thus preventing the risk of too much "glucose".

 

I am not a nutrition or vitamin expert, but that is my own personal experience.  My husband also rubs the glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM gel into his hands every evening

I Googled Glucosamine yesterday and found it interesting.  And then, I ran into a recent article in the Los Angeles Times www.naturaljoint.com stating that.... well, I think it's best your read the article if you are interested.  It's about a natural product that gives relief naturally, sometimes after just 5 days.  I understand that Glucosamine can cause an increase in blood sugar levels.
What do you think?
