JANICE - MANY YEARS AGO MY FAVORITE AUNT, WHO HAD MANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS
THROUGH THE YEARS, HAD A TEMPORARY COLOSTOMY FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. IT
WAS THEN REVERSED AND EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND SHE LIVED OVER 20 SOME YEARS
WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM WITH IT AND WAS WELL INTO HER 80'S WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY.
KEEP OPTIMISTIC THAT ALL WILL TURN OUT WELL FOR YOU AT SOME POINT.

I am also hoping to have it reversed. Time will tell.

I'm sorry you had to go through that Janice.

A few years ago I had a mother-in-law that had a colostomy.

After she had it for about 5 years they were able to close it,

and she did fine after that until she passed away about 10

years later.

I didn't even know that was possible until she had it done.

There is always hope no matter the situation.

Amen to "pain in the butt"... :-)

Just thought I'd let you know that I am different than most of you.
During my 9 weeks in the hospital, I had a

colostomy. So my bowel situation is a little different than yours. But,
to be honest, it is all a pain in the butt!!!

Thanks for the membership.

Welcome to the club Janice. :-)

The club almost ALL of us belong to.....!

Not one that we wanted to start....but here

we are.

Ask all of the questions you want honey....and

they sure don't have to be intelligent questions...

anything you need help with is important......!

Word it any way you want....

we're a pretty down to earth bunch.

Amen to "no one is perfect".....!

   Hugs, Lynn

I would like to belong to the BM'ers club also. I will try very hard not
to ask too many questions and will try to keep

them fairly intelligent. Of course, no one is perfect!
