Akua;
The seizure is really some kind of convulsion. What I have now changed from being mostly body cramps to something else. Now the cramps are not too bad. But after only a few seconds, my mind goes into a dazed state, and I can't talk without stuttering and tying up my breathing. Also, I lose all control of my arms and legs and must stay very still without moving too much or saying anything. I was getting better, it seemed, taking the subway to the city a couple of times (I live in Queens and take the subway to Manhattan). Then two days ago in a restaurant I felt it coming on. We had walked to the restaurant from our home. I was just able to whisper to my wife, "Get the car." And after walking in, I was almost carried out with no control over my legs, which were going in any direction they wanted. So now, my wife doesn't let me go out alone because it's not really safe. It turns out that stainless steel is not magnetic, so I CAN have MRIs. I had the head one last week, and this week I have the neck and upper back. The brain one found just some anomalies in the brainstem that was associated-the doctor said-with sensory things. He asked if I have been around industrial chemicals, but I couldn't think of any since decades ago. He said these seemed more recent, but there hasn't been any association with any kind of chemicals. So, we shall see. Thanks, and my prayers to all the others on our list.
