It is my understanding that the shingles go down clear to the nerve endings. Thus, the pain. Your skin won’t feel much pain because it is above the nerves. I sure hope you get rid of them quickly. My doc insisted that I get my shot for shingles a few years ago. Glad I did. Janice

I didn’t go to the doc for about 4 days because I thought it was just a small bug bite on my back and by the time I went it was a mess. My question is, why do I feel pain? I don’t feel any pain if I am stabbed, burned, etc. and I am assuming that if I felt pain it would be almost unbearable from what the doctor tells me. To me it is uncomfortable, I cannot wear a bra because it is under the back of my bra and goes up under my arm, into my arm pit and along the rear of my arm. Eucalyptus oil seems to work OK for me at this point, I don’t like to take meds unless absolutely necessary, why does it hurt at all when nothing else does? Lori
