Melanie: > Ok, I gotta admit that I was a bit skeptical of this week's episode > when I saw the preview last week. Muckman meets Jabba the Hut looked > repugnant, and how good could the plot be? Seemed they were finally > making a show that was definately aiming for the pre-teen male > demographic... Yeah.. that's what I was thinking too! > but I was happy with this show! And dangit, I missed the first 8-ish > minutes :/ You too? I came on when Don on the Shell Cycle looking ofr a professor. That was a different thing that he was riding the bike too. So it's not just all for Raph then! ;p > But from what I saw, Mike's quips, Raph's quips about > Mike's quips, Donny doin' his thing, and of course (my hero) Leo > just bein' Leo. I love how they work in real character > interaction! I really enjoyed that too. One thing I didn't like in the old toon, was that they all seemed to all and react in the same way to stuff. Most of the time. Or that they pretty much saved all the jokes for Raph. But in this new show, they all stand out more with their own quirks. Or that they all share a sense of humor. Of course, Mike was originally the funny boy of the bunch, so it never bothered me that he's cracking more jokes that Raph or any of the others. But Raph does bounce off his humor with the comparible sort of sarvcasm he used in the old toon. Aside from Mike's unexpected "girly scream", I was also ROFTL when he did that funky TMNT cheer and the others just stared at him for a long second of uncomfortable silence. *lol* > And how about the fight scene of Leo & flashing swords vs. garbage > man & machine with the big moon in the background. :D I feel like > a kid again for enjoyin' this so much. Yeah... such composition... such effective animation and layout of each shot. > But uh ... shouldn't these well-trained > ninjas be able to beat a simple robot? A clunky one, at that. Well... it's just a cartoon. But I was wondering a similar thing during the "Art of Invisibilty". A true ninja does need funky looking heat sensor goggles to 'see' their opponent. What happened to the lesson taught in the first movie, where they had to spar each other blind folded? I guess Splinter hadn't taught them this yet in this show! But next week... wow, Shredder finally appears! Even more interesting.. he is now trying to make a truce with the Turtles, to fight against the Utroms.... hrmm... ~HT ===== "A wise man never loses anything, if he has himself." ~Master Splinter ---== ] http://www.turtlequest.com [ ==--- __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
