One work-around is to set socketCloseDelay="250" on the Http10Interceptor element. A better solution is to use the Coyote HTTP/1.1 connector. The instructions for installing it are at <http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat- connectors/coyote/release/v1.0-rc2/>. Unfortunately, the jar files there are broken for 3.3.
