We don't need that (at least stuff that creates the connection) Imagine that you already have a socket. It will be up to the framework to create the connection, whether it will be mod_proxy or mod_ajp. In any case you will have a socket connected to elected host from lb or worker directly. You can move that code to test case so we can create our own connections for testing, so that test code calls the libajp in the exact way as the framework will. MT.
