Jinsight does not appear to have the ability to montior a JVM used by Tomcat ... it 
needs you to boot the program from the command line :(

Could you perhaps tell me how you got it working with Tomcat?

I used IBM alphaworks' jinsight 
(http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/jinsight) several years ago to do 
some profiling of a Tomcat-hosted application.
