Hi Reynir, I looked into this quite deeply, it seems like you can't get a handle on the url requested (to change) unless you go very deep into Tomcat's internals. As it happens I'm testing a modified mod_webapp which appears to work quite nicely letting you use Apache's rewrite mechanism (which mod_webapp normally ignores completely). I should have finished my tests by this evening is you want to give it a try.
