I know this is probably an old and dead issue for most of you guys, so sorry in advance.
I am trying to run tomcat 3.2 as a service on Win 2000. Tomcat is installed properly as is my JDK (1.3.1_04) by the way. Both are installed into directories with NO spaces. I have configured my wrapper.properties file as described in the docs. After running "jk_nt_service.exe -i ..." the registry shows all the proper information. Yet, still I get the following error. net start tomcat The tomcat service is starting. The tomcat service could not be started. The service did not report an error. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534. The given command does not give any useful information If someone has a suggestion other than "take the spaces out of the directories" please let me know there are NO spaces in any directory I reference in my wrapper.properties file, or the registry entry created for the service.
