Hi,

I am facing problem that i cannot perform recovery on Redhat Linux 7.0. by
"chroot"

>From O'REILLY 's Unix Backp & Recovery, pp 271-281. it is subjected that to
use "tomsrtbt" to boot mini-linux, repartition the whole hard-disk, restore
the whole operation system by "tar" from a well perpared tape drive, when
running "df -k" the table shows as:
File system ... Mounted on
/dev/ram0 /
/dev/ram1 /usr
/dev/ram3 /tmp
/dev/sda10 /newdisk
/dev/sda1 /newdisk/usr
/dev/sda5 /newdisk/home
/dev/sda6 /newdisk/var

then i finally used this commant "# choot /newdisk /sbin/lilo"
however the display shows: "fatal, kernel too old"

How can i solve this problem ? (this method worked well in redhat linux
6.2), thanks !!

Regards
Alex
