That is a concern for going above v8plus, to v8plusa or such. It used
to be we'd just get complaints about VIS extensions when someone tried
running on the Fujitsu machines with the SPARC64 series CPU - but now we
find those much sooner when they degrade on Niagara or Sun's OPL systems
that use the Fujitsu CPU's as well.
