I think the old-school RTI code can go away. In fact, I did that a few
months ago with the s10-patch wx, so you might want to look at it.
This does bring up the question of how RTIs will be managed with an
external gate. Has anyone started looking into this? Early on (late
2004, early 2005) the plan was to use the webapp to manage RTIs, code
reviews, patch submissions, etc. But we might want to reconsider.
I've mentioned it to Steve and sch a few times.
Other things are in the same position:
- comchk bug synopsis checks
- comchk ARC synopsis checks (which aren't currently done, but there's an RFE
for them,
so why not?).
It's in theory possible to do the latter by scraping the ARC community caselog (I think),
but that may not be the pleasant. The former is impossible (even scraping the data from
b.o.o you fall down for hidden CRs).
