What about having "stable" and "devel" versions. Devel could be updated
daily or even more frequently, stable would be updated per request or bi
weekly or as it is now. We could use stable the same way as it is now,
and if the stable contains problem, we could try switching to devel.
Personally packages are too in-flexible for me, I'm pulling my own hg
automatically every day. Living on the edge seems to be quite safe with
hg.
If all you depend on is hg (and possibly mq), that's probably fine. But
unfortunately we can't afford to be updating cdm constantly to match API
changes in hg...
Oh, I see. Stupid question, what's cdm? If cdm depends on given version
of mercurial, I would say that we could roll out new mercurial whenever
cmd is ready.
Cdm is the Mercurial extension we (and by we, I mean Rich ;)) are
developing for ON developers. It can probably be best described as a
'wx replacement'.
