I'm trying to update to the new versions of the TBC sparql.owl ontology
and noticed this comment attached to the sparql:query property:

Deprecated: please use sp:query instead.

However, I don't see a sp:query property in the sp.owl ontology. Should
this comment reference the spin:query property instead?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

this may happen at some point in time, but we don't plan to give this
part of our core technology away for free in the near future. You can
use our SPIN API from Composer plug-ins, SPARQLMotion modules or via the
TopBraid Live server framework. In general, TopQuadrant is eager to help
with a wide adoption of SPIN, but as you will understand we are also a
commercial enterprise. Whether the execution engine for functions and
templates is critical for the adoption of SPIN remains to be seen. In
any case, re-implementing support for SPIN functions in ARQ is certainly
doable :)
