Hello,

I am trying to create our model in OWL 2 with TopBraid Composer.
I tried to write the following model but the OK button in the dialog window
for creating an instance
is not activated if the resource name is the same as any class. So I could
not create an instance
'ex:Ape'.

ex:Animal a owl:Class .

ex:Ape rdf:type owl:Class ;
           rdf:subClassOf ex:Animal .

ex:Species a owl:Class.

ex:Ape a ex:Species,
              owl:NamedIndividual  .

I think the usage like this is supported in OWL 2 and TopBraid supports OWL
2.

Why I cannot create an instance having the same name as a class?

Thanks in advance,

Tada
