Subject: Re: [topbraid-users] SWA, query query

I’ll leave the Gadget question for Holger then. There is a gadget that allows a
user to view and edit SPARQL query. It communicates with a gadget that displays
results as a chart. I don’t know if it actually runs a query or leaves running
it to some other gadget.

As far as starting with your app, I think from TBC this would be a two step
process:

  1. Use "open with the SWA default app” option
  2. Replace the portion of the browser URL that identifies the app. The URL
is something like
localhost:8083/tbl/swp?_viewClass=http%3A%2F%2Ftopbraid.org%2Fswa%2Fdefaultapp%23Application&_withImports=true&_base=http%3A%2F%2Ftopbraid.org%2Fexamples%2Fkennedys
where http%3A%2F%2Ftopbraid.org%2Fswa%2Fdefaultapp%23Application is the ID of
the application and http%3A%2F%2Ftopbraid.org%2Fexamples%2Fkennedys is the ID
of the graph that contains the data application displays. You would replace the
application URI.
Alternatively, you can bookmark the right URL in the your browser and simply go
to it. This would have a pre-set application that you want to use and some
pre-set data graph. If you want to use this app with different data graphs,
then you would need to change this portion of the URL in which case this
approach may not be any more convenient than starting from TBC and changing the
app ID.

Hmmm, maybe not what I meant..

I cloned the default app in say myapp.

Then I thought I might quickly at a Gadget to it that runs a sparql select
query (next to the default tree/instances/form and search).

Another issue would be how to start that app (in tbc I only start with default
app, not start with myapp…)

Thx again

In the context of EVN, RDM or EDG, search forms have a button to save a search.
And a button to view and select saved search queries which can then be ran
again.

The default app is ‘read-only’, so its search form doesn’t show these buttons.
