Hi Richard I compared with http://www.linkedmodel.org/dtype/1.2/schema/SCHEMA_dtype-v1.2.ttl and did not see the differences that quickly...where would it deviate?

The .ttlx extension tells TopBraid to “unpack” the compact form on opening. The compact form is pretty essential if working with version control, diff tools, and so on.
