The generation is simple enough :-) I can do that.
But the real work on translation is to add _() and to make sure translations
are distributed and used properly. It would be real nice if you would fork
tortoisehg/stable on bitbucket and work on this.
I'm currently maintainer of the launchpad project. It is possible to set up
a team to be administrator and I think it might be a good idea to have more
than one person that can change logo / define releases (="series" in
launchpad lingua) / etc. If anybody has interest in this, drop me a mail.
Note that it is not required if you just want to translate messages.
