You don't need to work in area X or even know much about it, to be able to provide valuable input. Example: I am no icon designer, no artists. But I *do* recognize crappy icons/bad dialog design when I see it. This example is in no way related to TortoiseHg, which I generally think is pretty well designed, graphically.
