Matters are not that simple. See the thread starting with http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=757&dsMessageId=2461645 BTW, it seems to be Stefan's plan to provide disabling via HKCU for *all* overlays: http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=757&dsMessageId=2461823 This means we should be able to ditch the locked and readonly overlay slot handlers by setting values in HKCU (as soon as he implements that). A DVCS really has no use for file locking overlays.
