If I switch from the 1.04 TortoiseHG to the current one, will there be
any issues? In particular, will there be any problems if someone
continues to access the same repositories directly on disk with the old
client?

>From what I can tell, mostly from the mercurial docs, this should be OK
even though the repository format has changed. I believe the new client
(i.e., TortoiseHg) will leave existing repos in the old format, and both
the new and the old client will be able to operate (read and write) on
them.

If I make a new repository with the new client, it will not be readable
(or writeable) by the old client (unless I explicitly specify the old
format when it's created; I don't know if that's possible within
tortoisehg).

Is my understanding correct?

Thanks.
Ross
