Has anyone had this issue? I got visualSVN server up and running on my Windows
2012 Server VM in Azure. I added port 8443 to the VM port rules. I created the
repository in visualSVN, and added a user.

When I attempt to connect with TortoiseSVN repository browser (latest
download), TortoiseProc.exe finds the server and asks for credentials. So I
know that Tortoise is finding the server. However, after entering the correct
credentials, the repo browser blanks out and gives me the following messages:
"unable to connect to a repository at URL" ... "Could not resolve proxy
server..." and "No such host is known".

When I attempt to connect to the repository with a browser, I can get to it,
although the browser first complains about security because of the certificate.
But then I can proceed, enter credentials, and see the repository.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I attempted to follow these guides, but they didn't help me solve my problem:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-ie/svn-server.aspx

Any help or advice in getting TortoiseSVN running would be appreciated.
