tl;dnr I found it[1] and put the source up here:

https://github.com/quaid/Practical-OSS-Exploration-textbook

We can work on it there but it really should live in a canonical Git
repository in the teachingopensource.org domain.

Jim - short answer is, we can look at that as a starting point; we
might want to convert to e.g. AsciiDoc to make it easier to edit in
github.com; pull request gratefully accepted but let's make sure your
effort is worth your time (or go ahead and fork to run your own
updates, we should be able to get it to build in DocBook and/or Publican.)

Nick - there's the content if you want to fork any lessons to rewrite
in to the new TOS Curriculum book, or other considerations.

[1] The search ...

First clue:

http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/Textbook_Roadmap

That wiki pages says for where source is supposed to be (in a
Subversion repo.)

http://teachingopensource.org/repos/textbook

Not there. But second clue.

It appears I got somewhere along the way toward packaging these because:

https://quaid.fedorapeople.org/packages/

... and digging through there, the RPM spec file shows this URL for
source:

http://teachingopensource.org/source/%{name}-%{version}.tgz

So it used to be on this web server but no longer appears to be.

And that finally gave me the search term to find the source on my
local system. *whew*
