  [GA-MA78GM-S2H, Realtek ALC889A, Green Line Out, Rear] left-right
  channels output to both sides

Bug description:
  balance does work. when i move the balance to left, sound is louder on
  the left but can still be heard on right and vis-versa.

  i used the following test clip

  left and right channels i hear on both sides, but the centre speaker test i 
only hear on the right channel.

  Happens on my Ubuntu 13.04 install, and also the boot cd from lubuntu 13.10. 
  I don't have this problem if i plug the speakers into my laptop which uses 
alc663 chip.
