I've tried to say this before without being critical of the built-in server, but if you need this kind of functionality, you need to be running the full server on a PC, server, or NAS on your network. The built-in server is a lightweight, bare bones solution that can be used only by people without a need for special plugins, transcoding, or a web interface, or by people willing to give up these things in exchange for not having to run a separate server.
