Hi Andy, Thanks for your attention to this. I've added my vote to the bug report.
I've run a few tests and it seems to occur regardless if crossfade is set to "fade in", "fade out", "fade in & out" or "crossfade". Also doesn't seem to change if smart crossfade is enabled or not.
