Okay, just to rule out the obvious, have you plugged something else into that outlet to confirm that it's getting power, or plugged the Touch into a different outlet that you are certain is getting power?
If the AC is okay, then maybe it's the wall wart (though it could be the Touch's internal power circuitry). Do you have another power supply that's an exact match for the Touch's specs? If so, you could try that.
