hehe... it's butt simple and can run completely local. It does have media services from Chumby and others, but it has a realtime clock so you don't need a server for time. The music services like Pandora and Shoutcast don't require a server anywhere.
It does have a UPnP client, but this release is only photo's and video's. Upcoming software should include music support. It's really just a giant hackable Chumby so you can build and run anything you want on it.
