I did a couple of complete reset of the touch, including re-entering
all wireless parameters.

I'm in the US, and the best channel was 8.

For me, it was connecting initially and dropping the connection after a
while.

I did my due diligence and channel 8 was way better. I believe it has
to do with the fact that I'm hiding the ESSID. It's true that I did not
try other channels than 1 and 8. Life's too short.
Thanks for the help, but I happen to know my way around wireless
LANs...

But, what was the most surprising to me was how the whole touch user
experience became flaky. I don't understand how bad network
connectivity can affect local music playing. Weird.
