So the "official" Info browser applet is a third party contribution from me - so although its packaged in the main release its 3rd party supported. I have been focussed on other things and have not looked at this side of things recently. I did look at this and decided it needed some C code to enable better scrolling if we want to make it look like a ticker - i.e. scrolling on one side and off the other.
