I did the same thing as you...I've had three Duets for almost two years, and recently replaced the receivers on two of them with Touches. I had no problems doing it at all, the touches immediately saw the SBS on my main computer and updated their software.
The Duet remote works fine with the Touch -- strindl 3 Duets, 2 Touches.
