buffering can be caused by weak wireless or not having enough cpu/ram on what ever is running squeezebox server (sbs). You can check the wireless by connecting a network cable router>player and setting the player to use a wired network connection. see if that sorts it then you know you either need to improve the wireless or use a cable permanently.
If you're running sbs on a low powered nas then the nas cpu/ram can get overpowered. my qnap has a web page you can check the cpu/ram usage. To help the nas you can turn off any plugins you don't need on the sbs web gui and make sure sbs is not trying to transcode between flac and mp3 or similar as that stresses the cpu. set up right the qnap 119 should work, not sure of the spec of the ready nas. -- W_J My Setup: QNAP TS109II SB Touch > Naim Nait 5i2 > PMC GB1i SB3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ W_J's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84612 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
