A mystery then ? hopefully you only added rg tags with foobar and did not run some normalization process ? I have not used foobar since 2006 So I'm not up tp speed with the current plugins for fb2k . maybe you can try to rip a CD again and not using your foobar process and compare that CD aginst the flac files, or wav files just for the test.
