I solved this by using a coax adapter. If you have cable outlets near your Touch and the PC where your music is stored it is easy to set up. In my case my cable modem already sends the network signal over the coax (Verizon Fios), so I only needed one adapter. Works great, and as an added bonus I now have a wired connection to my network-ready bluray player.
