I have a Touch that I use with a Duet Controller. (I had the full Duet
but sold the Receiver unit about 6 months ago.)

My synopsis: the Touch sounds better than the Duet and also directly
supports 24/96 material. That said, the Duet Receiver still sounded
very good and would be fine for most people.

I kept the Controller as I very rarely use the Touch's screen. I prefer
selecting music and controlling the volume from my listening seat with
the convenience of a full feature remote.

Many people use iPods or their smart phones to control the Touch. I
tried this but didn't find the interaction as satisfactory. I've read
many posts where others feel the opposite.

To wrap up my comments: if you have a smart phone you can use for a
controller or the remote isn't important to you (where the simple
remote that comes with the Touch would suffice) then definitely get the
Touch.

If you don't have a smart phone or iPod but a full feature remote with
display is more important than the last nth of sound quality, the
pendulum then goes toward the Duet.
