Hi Phil, Regarding what I'm listening to at the moment the signal path, as I understand it, goes: - FLAC files from seperately powered free standing HDD via firewire to Vaio MM PC, then out from Vaio via ethernet into Touch, then out via digital co-ax into Beresford 7520 DAC (mod'd up to Caiman spec and fed by 16v linear PSU). From there it goes via cryo treated silver phono cables into Cyrus aCA7 pre, out from there via XLR to phono cables into Cyrus XPA power amp and out from there via cryo treated silver speaker cable to Mission 773e speakers. Does this explain anything better?
