Is the Touch connected via wired ethernet or wireless? The first thing I'd do is make sure the Touch is connecting to the network correctly. On the Touch go to
Settings > Advanced > Diagnostics > then either Wireless Info or Ethernet Info. Make sure that the Touch is getting an IP address from your DHCP server that is on your network. If you see a 169.254.x.x address, then it did not. If you're connecting wirelessly, you might see if your wireless router has an admin web page where you can see all connected wifi clients.
